About

2026 Gosford Summer Blitz Open is a FIDE rated tournament for players of all levels. The event features 11 rounds with a short break after each, starting at 10:00 am. Entries close on Friday 27th of February 2026. The venue is the Parkview Room at Central Coast Leagues Club, Dane Drive Gosford.

Schedule

Registration opens at 9:30 am; rounds start from 10:00 am with a 20-minute break between each round (except after last one).

Details

Fees: $30 standard entry, $25 concession. Juniors pay $25 or $10 with Gosford Chess Club membership. GMs, WGMs, IMs, WIMs free.
Format: 11 rounds, 3 minutes plus 2-second increment. Time control and Swiss format.
Prizes: $300, $200, $120 in Open Division; $100, $50 each in four rating bands; $50 Best Junior; $30 Best Unrated. All prizes are guaranteed with at least 40 entries.
Eligibility: Australian citizens, permanent residents, FIDE ID holders; NSWCA members or join on day for adults, interstate players must be state association members.
