Mentone Club Championship 2026 is a 7-round Swiss tournament, ACF Classic Rated, open to members only.

Thursdays, Game Start: 7:15 p.m. Forfeit time 7:45pm (30 minutes after game begins).

Details

Fees
$30 members only tournament. Annual membership is $70 non-concession / $40 concession.
Format
7-round Swiss. ACF Classic Rated. Time controls: 60 minutes per game, plus 30 seconds increment per move.
Prizes
Total prize pool is $870. Open Section: 1st place $175, 2nd place $150, 3rd place $125. 3 rating groups: 1st place $80, 2nd place $60 within each rating group. Rating ranges for each group to be determined after all entries are received (after Round 2).

From the thread

1st Round: arrive ten minutes early to ensure pairing and on-time game start. If running late, please inform us to be paired for Round 1. Players may take two half point byes in Rounds 1-5; please inform Leon by Monday midnight to receive the half point. Pairings will be released on Tuesday in this forum thread. Registration via Trybooking is strongly preferred (note a processing fee of up to $3). If not using Trybooking, register by emailing [email protected] with full name, date of birth, and whether they have previously played in an ACF rated event; payment can then be made by bank transfer. Plenty of off-street parking available.
