The 2026 Box Hill Summer Cup is a 7-round Swiss tournament, ACF and FIDE rated, with a time control of 75 minutes plus 30 seconds per move, and a total prize fund of $1400.
Membership fees for 2026 are due from 1 Jan 2026. Pairings will be published on Wednesday. Arbiter must be informed by Tuesday COB if a bye is required.
Starting time: 7.15 PM. Round 1: Friday 30 January, Round 2: Friday 6 February, Round 3: Friday 13 February, Round 4: Friday 20 February, Round 5: Friday 27 February, Round 6: Friday 13 March, Round 7: Friday 20 March
Format
7 Round Swiss tournament. ACF and FIDE rated. Rate of Play: 75 min. / player / game plus 30 sec. per move from move one. Forfeiture time: 30 minutes from schedule start. A maximum of 2 half point byes only will be permitted for rounds 1 to 5.
Fees
$60 + admin fee for BHCC or CJCC members; $80 + admin fee for non-members. Free entry for GM, WGM, IM, WIM, FM (members of Box Hill Chess Club), Tournament Organiser & Arbiter. Entries close Thursday 29th January 3pm.
Prizes
Total Prize fund: $1400. First Prize $500, Second Prize $250, Third Prize $150. 5 Ratings prizes to the value of $100 each.
Eligibility
All foreign players must have a FIDE Identification number.
