Details

The Burwood Summer U/2200 FIDE Tournament is a 7-round Swiss competition, FIDE and ACF rated, held weekly on Fridays. Players must record all moves on a scoresheet.

To enter, pay online at the provided URL using code WFYL55IT4O and fill the electronic form. Players over 18 need to join NSWCA as a 'Registered Player' via https://www.nswca.org.au/join.php

Each round begins at 7:30pm (one game per week on Fridays). Dates are: 27 February, 6 March, 13 March, 20 March, 27 March, 17 April, 24 April.

Format

7-round Swiss competition. Time limit is 60 minutes per player per game with a 30 second increment per move from the start.

$120 per player ($140 if paid after 25th February 2026)

Eligibility

Players with a FIDE Standard rating under 2200 are eligible to enter. Unrated players are also welcome to join. You must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident, or have a FIDE ID.
